Upcoming Events & Classes
There will be a church wide BYOS (bring your own steak) dinner April 20th at 4pm located at Gary Mcphail’s barn for all the men. Please bring a chair. There s a sign up sheet and directions at the kiosk. Please sign up if you know you’re coming but if you’re able to come at the last minute come on.
Men's BYOSteak
Join us for 3 different messages from Dr Robert Carter on Sunday, May 19th starting during the Sunday School hour at 9:00am, followed by Worship time at 10:30am, and finally a Special Message at 6:00pm.
Big Questions Sunday
We welcome you, daughters 1st grade and up, to join us for a fun spring Women's event. We will be planting some new flowers on the church property as well as learn a few tips on planting from our own Master Gardener, Gayle Wagoner. Each women will be able to leave with a potted flower for themselves. There will be a light brunch served at 10:00 am before getting our hands to the work of making things beautiful. Make a point to come to "Friends and Flowers"! Please bring garden gloves (optional) & a small hand trowel.
Friends & Flowers
We are having our annual picnic at Castle Park this year. We will enjoy some fellowship with our church family along with walking tacos, games, and more. We hope to see you there. If you would like to donate cookies, please have them to the church by Friday, May 3rd.

We are having our annual 4th of July event at the Cross on July 4th at 7pm. We will kick off with hotdogs, snow cones, apple pies, games, and more. Once it gets dark we are able to watch the Canton Fireworks at First Monday fair grounds. Bring a lawn chair and come have fun!

Lakeside Kids
Preteen Camp
Kids who have completed 3rd – 6th grade are invited to join Lakeside for 4 days of jam-packed fun at Preteen Camp on June 1st – the 4th! Campers will spend their time swimming, blobbing and boating at the lake, racing go-karts, completing the ropes course, ziplining, and, most importantly, diving deep into the Word of God.
Summer Music Camp
Summer Music Camp is our annual music camp for Kids 1st - 6th grade. It starts July 8th through 12th from 9am - 12pm this year with a performance on the 12th at 6pm. More details coming soon!
VBS 2024
Set off on an epic adventure from Genesis to Revelation. Amid sloths, butterflies, river dolphins, and dart frogs, kids will sail along on a fun jungle cruise, stopping at seven significant landmarks in biblical history. Get ready to dive into a world of excitement on The Great Jungle Journey! VBS 2024 will be June 17th - 20th for children ages 3 - 6th grade. More details coming soon!
Kids Church
We provide a Worship service designed for kids K-6th grade. We would like to invite children to worship with their parents or with their peers. Whatever you feel is best for your family.
Awana
Awana clubs is for children from 3 years of age to those in 6th grade. Awana reaches kids for Christ through fun, Scripture-rich experiences that lead them to know, love and serve Him.
KiDs Beach Club
for kids 3rd - 5th grade at Canton Intermediate School. Beach Club is a high energy, fun filled “kid centered” club that meets after school for one hour one day a week for 24 weeks.
Lakeside Students
Mission Trip
We are excited to announce that a team of high school students and leaders will be participating in a mission trip to Donegal, Ireland, this summer. We are asking our church family to pray for this team as we finalize details, get travel documents in order, and begin training for the work set before us.
Student Camp
Student Camp sign ups are open! We will be returning to GENERATE at ETBU in Marshall, Texas, June 3rd - 7th. Students from 7th-12th grade please register soon!
Midweek
Each Wednesday evening from 6-7:30pm we join together for large group teaching, worship, and games in the Student Center. Come join us as we study the book of Acts this semester!
Camp Fundraiser
As a camp fundraiser, On April 21st, the student ministry will be providing BBQ sandwiches, chips and a cookie immediately after Sunday morning worship, in the Student Center. We are asking for donations of only $10 per lunch, so come pick up some great BBQ! Registration is available on our website or through the Church center app, Registration closes on Wednesday April 17th so be sure to sign up ASAP! Registration is required.
Student Retreat
On April 12th-14th we will dive deep into God’s word, worship him through music, take part in some awesome activities and service projects, and stay in host homes Friday and Saturday night. Students 7th-12th grade are encouraged to sign up and join us for this amazing weekend retreat, seeking to grow in our faith and cultivate lives that Know God, Love Him, and Love Others. Cost will be just $40 to cover all food, materials, t-shirt and activities.
