Rooted deep within the heart of Lakeside Baptist Church is a desire to see God glorified in all the nations. We believe that every Christian should have an active role in seeing "The Great Commission" fulfilled (Matthew 28:19-20). From the city of Canton and Van Zandt County to the "uttermost parts of the earth", Lakeside Baptist Church is actively involved in taking Christ's love to the world!

Approximately 12% of the tithes and offerings received at Lakeside go directly to support missions through the SBC Cooperative Program, the Kauf-Van Baptist Association, and our local missions support program.

Lakeside supports regional mission projects and church planting through the Kauf Van Baptist Association.

Operation Christmas Child

A small shoebox can teach a child about the love of God, lead him or her to faith in Christ, inspire pastors, and plant new churches. What goes into the box is fun, but what comes out is eternal. Be a part of changing lives through the power of a simple gift.

Every November Lakeside participates in the Operation Christmas Child project administered by the Samaritan's Purse organization.

Cooperative Program

Lakeside supports statewide, national, and international missions by participating in the SBC Cooperative Program (http://www.sbc.net/cp/). The Cooperative Program contributions are used to support the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention (http://sbtexas.com) and the North American Mission Board  (http://www.namb.net).

Can We Talk

Can We Talk is an evangelism class that we offer every semester. It helps us bridge the gap between our church and the community and equips members to share their faith. Each class includes a short teaching time, just over an hour of outreach visits and sharing the gospel as we practice what we’ve learned, and a report time together to close as we rejoice over the incredible work God does in and through us! If you would like more information or to be a part of Can We Talk contact Mike Calhoun or the church office.

Street Evangelism & Mission Outreach

cross.jpg

We do 1cross training and street presentations that are provided by our Southern Baptist of Texas state convention. In these exciting venture those who are willing take the 1cross app hot coffee and sometimes work gloves to people on the street, and share the gospel. http://sbtexas.com/evangelism/1cross-gospel-presentation/

The SBTC is bringing together the Gospel presentation in many different languages to the palm of your hand. Our vision is to provide you with a resource that can help you take the Good News of Jesus Christ unto all the nations. While this should not be used as the primary source of sharing your faith, we hope that it is a great tool for you to use to clearly present the Gospel.

Contact the office for times and dates of this street evangelism event.
