The Lakeside Baptist Family mourns the loss of David Wilkerson our Director of Facilities and Technologies. David had a hard fought battle with COVID-19 Pneumonia that ended in his victorious homecoming. In his 17 years on staff at Lakeside, he wore many hats, served in many roles, and had many titles; but we’ll remember him as our friend. Please continue to pray for Sharon and the Wilkerson family as well as the Lakeside staff. Arrangements for David are: Visitation, Sunday, 4-6pm at Eubanks and his Funeral Service will be Monday, 11AM at Lakeside.

Lakeside will be offering a 12 week World Missions Prayer Sunday School Class beginning on March 7, 2021. Class enrollment will be limited to 12 people. The class will be focused on learning about and developing the habit of praying for the evangelization and discipleship of the 31 largest unreached people groups in the world whose number totals over 1.5 billion people. One fourth of the world’s households live where there is virtually no contact with other believers, no church, no missionary and no sign of a gospel movement bringing God’s promised blessing in Christ to their families. Currently, most prayer, most missionaries and most missionary support go to strengthen people in places where Christ is already known. It has been rightly said that every new missionary undertaking that has been owned and blessed of God begins with fervent prayer. If you are interested in learning more about this class, please see Tom Duke in the sanctuary following the 9:00 a.m. service this Sunday, 2/28. You may also contact him via e-mail at t.h.duke@att.net for more information.
