The FAQs:
What is Night to Shine?

Each Night to Shine guest will be crowned King or Queen for the night and enjoy dinner, dancing, limo rides, photography stations, karaoke, and more! For those who need a break from the party, a quieter lounge and sensory room will be available where guests can sit and relax until they are rested and ready to return to the dance floor!

Where does this event take place?
Night to Shine is hosted on the same day by hundreds of churches around the world. Lakeside Baptist Church in Canton, TX, is one of the churches hosting this event for guests from Van Zandt County and the surrounding areas.

Will I be by myself all night?
Each one of our Kings and Queens will have their own Buddy for the whole evening. They will be there to assist our guests with whatever needs they will have and to make sure they have the best night of their lives!!!

Where will Parents and Caregivers be?
After dropping your guest off at Night to Shine with their Buddy, all parents and caregivers are invited to attend a special Respite Dinner hosted at First Baptist Church, Canton, TX. We realize that this event may be the only time parents /caregivers can take a break from caregiving, and we want you to feel loved and appreciated for all you do! Please RSVP to attend the dinner when you Register to Attend. Parents and Caregivers will return to Lakeside to witness the crowning ceremony!

What should I wear?
We ask that all guests and volunteers dress up for the prom. Since formal wear is expensive, we have a clothing boutique of donated formal wear (dresses and suit jackets) that guests can set up an appointment to try on and to pick out one – free of charge. Please indicate on your Registration Form if you would like to set up an appointment at the clothing boutique.

Does it cost anything to attend NTS?
Night to Shine does not cost anything to our guests. It is our privilege and honor to host this event for our Special Needs Community through donations from church and community members. If you are interested in donating time, resources, or financially, please contact the church office or donate online.
